Saturday, May 9 Depart Grand Rapids, Michigan or local airports
Sunday, May 10 Arrive in Nairobi (late evening)
Monday, May 11 Travel to Narok + Visit Emura-Osek Hope Centre
Tuesday, May 12 Visit Narok-area Hope Centres
Wednesday, May 13 Maasai Mara National Reserve
Thursday, May 14 Maasai Mara National Reserve
Friday, May 15 Potential Hope Centre Visit, Travel to Nairobi
Saturday, May 16 Cultural Experience & Shopping + Depart Nairobi Airport, Late Evening
Sunday, May 17 Arrive Grand Rapids, Michigan or local airports
COSTS
ESTIMATED COSTS
We estimate the total cost per person will be about $3,000. This amount is subject to price change based on airfare costs. Airfare, taxes, and other fees may impact the final cost of the trip, and can fluctuate until the team is reserved and ticketed.
The payment fee schedule is:
January 30, 2026 Team Finalization: $100 Deposit + Release Forms Due
February 23, 2026 Airfare Due (75 days before departure)
April 9, 2026 Balance Due (30 days before departure)
ADDITIONAL COSTS
Kenya Hope will care for all arrangements from departure of home airport to return to home airport. The traveler is additionally responsible for spending money (for crafts and souvenirs) and any costs associated with acquiring a U.S. Passport and/or a eTA (visa) for entry to Kenya.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Traveler’s insurance is included with the cost of the trip. You can view coverage here.
- All travelers must have a valid U.S. passport. Kenya’s Department of Immigration Services requires the passport to be valid for at least six months past the return date, and have at least two blank endorsement pages.
- Kenya Hope does not organize fundraiser events or collect donations on behalf of travelers. The team member is responsible for submitting payment to Kenya Hope in accordance with the fee schedule above.
- Each traveler is allowed at least two checked bags included with airfare.
- All travelers must complete Kenya Hope’s release forms.
NEXT STEPS

- Each participant must complete Kenya Hope’s trip release form.
- Once deposits and release forms have been completed, Kenya Hope will reserve airfare for all travelers.
