Our Hope Center Model

We take a holistic approach to children, families and communities

Is designed to meet the most pressing needs of the surrounding community. Locally-led and intended to become self-governing, community leaders are given the tools to operate independently. There are four core programs of all our Hope Centers: Clean Water (provided for at least 200 families), Widows Might, the Feeding Program (each student gets a hot meal at noon), and Student Sponsorship. Additional programs may be implemented at various Hope Centers based on need and resources. All of our Hope Centers are purposefully integrated with Gospel proclamation and Bible-based discipleship

It is a story of H.O.P.E

H: Help for families, (specifically widows and orphans) moving them from survival to self sufficiency while also meeting the greater needs of their community.

O: Outreach and transformation to communities through the Hope Center Model

P: Partnership between American churches (and donors) and Kenyan communities.

E: Evangelize communities through the saving power of Jesus Christ.

What are the goals of a Hope Center?

To help communities prepare for the next drought which will surely come, through agriculture programs.

To meet the immediate needs of the people, including food and water, medical help, and education.

To proclaim the Gospel clearly and disciple and help believers in order to form independent churches in these unreached areas.

To provide help for families (specifically widows and orphans) moving them from survival to self-sufficiency.

5 Level Strategy of a Hope Center

After identifying a new community that has agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Kenya Hope provides the resources listed in level one. In order to move up to the next level, the community fulfills their obligations as outlined in the MOU. Each new level builds on the previous levels.

1

Level 1, we provide a clean water system (well, tank and solar), audio Bibles, and show the Jesus Film.

2

Level 2, we begin the Widows Might program.

3

Level 3, we construct classrooms and teacher housing, opening a primary school.

4

Level 4, the school and all that it needs is completed.

5

Level 5, has reached the point of complete independence.
